There’s a new drug crisis that has taken hold in the developed world. Painkillers that are designed to help patients recover from injuries or operations have taken hold of many lives through addiction. Intentions may have been good but doctors have prescribed too many of these powerful medications when something less powerful and less addictive would have sufficed. Experts at the Mayo Clinic says the way these medicines are used has changed dramatically.
